My Recent Reading

I  Read Treasure  Island  by Dawn McMillan.  It is about pirates.  They were looking for treasure.  They found the X on the map. They found the Treasure in the sand. The Treasure was food. The Pirates name was called Black Patch.

My favorite part was when they said, “Land ahoy.”

You should read this book someday it is a cool book

Reading Self-Assessment

Today I recorded myself reading “A Very Clever Possum” by Vivienne Joseph.  It’s about a possum that keeps getting away from the trap that Mr Lees  sets.  He doesn’t want his rose bush to get eaten.  The possum eats its shoots.

I liked this book a lot.  We have possums at home and my dad sets traps too.  I knew what Mr Lees was talking about in the story. We have a pet possum too.  His name is Fred.   I think it helped me read the book better. I think I’m improving and I’m reading better and smoother.
